Views of houses in the 2000 block of Spruce Street that were demolished ca. 1948 so the land could be used as a playground for Whittier School. Also view of one house being moved by house movers Oliver and Marion Clyncke. Several photos include automobiles parked on the street.

Forest Crossen, author of "The Switzerland Trail of America" (published 1962) and the series "Western Yesterdays" (published 1963-1979) moved to Boulder with his family in 1923 and graduated from Boulder High School.
